Hi there, still today this is a very complex subject... Raman data is a very difficult experimental problem, which depends on laser excitation, spectral resolution, fluorewcence background, physical state of the sample, geometry of data collection, among other less important factors.

In this sense, it is very iportant to explicitely say what are the details of your experiment, because the good quality of the Raman data depends on this.

Each one of the main instrument builders have their own spectral database, based on most of the spectra obtained on that especific conditions; if your equipment is not the same, probably your Raman spectra will be in some aspect different!!!

MOst of the experts say that the best way to compare Raman spectra is based on the coparison of Raman data obtained out of resonance conditions, but even this is compex, since excitation with 785 nm or 1064 nm is competely different... the detectors, the spectral range etc. are parameters to be observed...

Summing up, from today, if you are interested in accessing a Raman database, the better us to build your own...
