I want to kno that for d same total flow rate, what happens to turbine generatr o/p of a vapour pwr plant if HP heatr group bypass line is opened? Thus d plant H.R. Increase or decrease undr HP heatr bypass conditn?
If you mean what happen when the water side bypass line is opened (by tripping these heaters or Optional), at first, the flow rate of entered steam to the heaters decrease, that causes an increase in steam flow rate to the turbine (and to the condenser), which increase the power generated and decrease the plant heat rate Temporarily. After a while (about 5 minutes), when the temperature of inlet feed water to the boiler decreased, it causes that more fuel used for make the same steam (with previous pressure, temperature and mass flow rate) in the boiler. Therefore, the heat rate of the plant will be increased.
