How to get Rxx, Rxy, Ryx and Ryy from floquet port simulation? My structure is assymmetric. If the HFSS solved model is dragged to Circuit module, how to get overall Rxx, Rxy, Ryx and Ryy from there?
Swadesh Poddar Its difficult to explain the said problem but i will try to ensure it helps you out.
Rxy= FloquetPort1:1,FloquetPort1:2 means we are measuring reflection coefficient S_11 with y polarized incident wave and x polarized reflected wave. In short, it means we are checking cross polarization. If S_11 is near 0 dB, it means that your periodic surface is acting as cross polarization converter. Nonetheless, for v small values of S_11 such as -40 dB ,it means the periodic surface doesn't act as cross polarization converter (Note: Linear pol. converters are backed by ground plane so S_21 = 0 always).
Similarly, Rxx= FloquetPort1:1,FloquetPort1:1 means we are measuring S_11 and checking the co-polarization.
For Rxx= FloquetPort1:1,FloquetPort1:2 =, it is not a valid statement because Rxx means incident and reflected wave polarization is same but in (FloquetPort1:1,FloquetPort1:2), the digit two indicates cross pol. measurement.
Lets take another example, Rxy = FloquetPort2:1,FloquetPort1:2 means measuring the transmission coefficient with incident wave as y polarized and transmitted wave as x polarized.
