Does anyone have idea about the photo-stability of FITC in nanoparticle formulations? Does it stable throughout the procedure and bright enough in confocal microscopy? Thanks.
We utilized FITC-avidin in our research for of ONBs but found out that they bleach out quickly. In fluorescence microscopy, the fluorescence was observable in the range of 10-20 minutes. I believe for confocal imaging, you need to cover them from light prior to imaging and then you can use it for imaging but the process needs to be quick.
