What is the mechanism in the FET sensors? I do know that in FET ,voltage control the current,so I just need to detect the current change in different situations right?I mean after the interreaction between the sensing material and the molecules like some specific gas,what will happen in the device.Because I think it will change the current between the S and D,but how can it change the voltage？I am confused.
The FET is controlled by gate charge. That means that e.g. selective absorption of some ions which may change that charge will also change IV characteristics of the FET.
