All the fatty acids that are found in human body are cis fatty acids, with the exception of retinoic acid (which is present in the eye). The body can synthesize most of the fats it needs from the diet. However, two essential fatty acids, linoleic and alpha-linolenic, cannot be synthesized in the body and must be obtained from food. These basic fats, found in plant foods, are used to build specialized fats called omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are important in the normal functioning of all tissues of the body.
Aly R Abdel-Moemin pls,l need to know the fatty acids that present in the plants but not in human or it is found in other microorganisms but not found in the human
You need to do deep search to compare fatty acids in human and other species. So keep a list of human fatty acids then make another columns for each species you find, and mark the different one than human. I have list of fatty acids in fish bones that published in Food Bioscience 2015.
