What's is the required time for fasting for GTT in db/db mice either 6 hrs or whole night if we need to study on liver ,muscle ,bone metabolism
Thanks
If you want to perform a real fasting, an entire night is necessary before performing the GTT around 2 hrs after lights on
A whole night fast is more appropriate. And the test should be conducted very early in the morning say between 6 and 8_am. If not you would face some metabolic effect on your results.
