I'm trying to use SSSC to damp system oscillations in multimachine system but there is no stability. I want to know if SSSC can't damp oscillation in multimachine system or not ,or it's nesessary to use PSS with it
For power system, as inertia is very large effect observe would be less as oscillation is very slow and stability would be more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Due to high inertia system oscillate very slowly will get more time for control, but if not controlled properly, from required different points of system, due to high amplitude there are chance to be out of step and complete failure/blackout.
Today system stability and control(generation/demand) is achieved by providing load dispatch center, continuously monitoring the system. Stability and economical distribution is achieved, by connecting the system, even with neighbouring country with tie lines, if needed.
