Hi
Anyone has an idea or paper on how to extract agglutinated microfossils from shale samples. The samples I have mostly come from Deltaic/Marine environment (estuarine) and all of them are shales. I am expecting to get some agglutinated microfossils from both types freshwater and marine.
I already know the Kerosene method when I have to soak the samples into kerosene and then boil them. This will cause kerosene to expand and disintegrated the shale.
I hope if anyone kindly has any suggestions on how to do this, or has a paper (s) on some techniqes; I would be greatful and thank you in advance.
