In this study, the effects of Erbium substitution in Xtype BaTiO2Fe28OCx46 hexafluoroethylene are investigated by regard to structure, hysteresis, Msbauer properties and electrical parameters. Prepared through heat treatment, Er-substituted samples exhibit X and W phases, while the x = 0.0 sample possesses X, W-type, and α-Fe2O3 phases. Mossbauer spectroscopy analysis at room temperature reveals a variation in saturation magnetization (MS), with the maximum values (52.29 Am2/kg) and anisotropy field (Ha) (1370 kA/m) observed for x = 0.12. Dielectric measurements show normal ferromagnetic behavior, attributing low-frequency conduction to grain boundary contributions and higher frequency conduction to grain contributions. As a result of the soft ferrite behaviour and low dielectric loss tangent, the AC conductivity increases with frequency, suggesting potential applications in filters.
