The FPV is a novel idea and innovative thinking using water bodies for energy consumptions in particular for developing countries. For example, Africa has great lakes like Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Kavu, Lake Turkana, Lake Tana, Lake Nyansi, Lake Rukwa, Lake Albert, and many large and small dams used for hydropower. The main benefits of FPV solar panels are included reduced shading, reduced civil works, reduced grid interconnection costs, reduced water evaporation, improved water quality, and reduced algal blooming. The potential for further growth in floating solar photovoltaic power generation is significant in Africa, Asia, and South America Lakes. South Africa has done a lot of research and practical work on wine industry use of FPV. What are the costs, impacts, and potential disruptions of aquatic life?
