Even though L-DOPA conc is high in seeds, leaf is chosen as an explant for callus induction. Why is it so?

L-DOPA is found many folds high in seeds but people choose leaf as an explant for inducing callus and quantification. Instead if seed is chosen the callus induced from seed will have higher metabolite isnt it?
