Hello!

I have 5 monoclonal antibodies with the isotype IgG1-kappa and 1 of them has the isotype IgG3-kappa. I want to discard inespecific binding by using isotypic negative controls.

The question is: Do I need the Isotypic control for IgG3-kappa if I have the isotypic controls for IgG1-kappa? Because, as far as I saw, the difference between both isotypes is the "hinge" region.

Besides, the company of the antibody IgG3-kappa compares its own product with an IgG1-kappa as negative control in the brochure. Although I found a negative control for IgG3-kappa I would like to know if it is essential, because it is only one antibody with a different isotype.

Thanks a lot,

Sergio.
