Hi, I have installed an Autodock 1.5.7, I have also installed MGL tools. But as soon as I open the protein file in Autodock tools and add hydrogen, the autodock window closes.
I assume I have a 64-bit processor and the software support 32 bit for windows. I have copied the two executable files in user too. I can't figure out whats the error that I cant use Autodock.
Yes, I have Python 3.8. 5
I feel the issue is because of 32 bit and 64-bit mismatch.

I have been using AutoDock in Windows for years now and I too am using a 64-bit OS and so far I have yet to encounter any issues/problems.
Can you please explain (as detailed as you can) on the installation steps that you take while installing AutoDock?
Dear Farrah Wahidah Ridzwan, I have uninstalled previous files and tried new installation one more time.
I have installed PYMOL from https://pymol.org/2/?#download
And MGL tools from here http://mgltools.scripps.edu/downloads/mgltools-1-5-7rc1
There were 2 files in C:⁄Program Files (x86)⁄The Scripps Research Institute⁄Autodock with the name autodock4 and autodock grid. I copied both these files and pasted in the user where all other files (protein and ligand) are kept for docking.
But when I open the protein (5edu) PDB file in autodock and try to add hydrogen atoms the window closes by itself.
I believe you are currently having an issue with AutoDockTools (or MGL tools) rather than AutoDock itself.
I'm assuming that you installed the MGL tools by downloading the executable file and leave everything else as default. My suggestion is, during the installation steps, choose a different destination folder (or create a new one).
For example, by default the destination folder is (as shown in the attached photo):
C:\Program Files (x86)\MGLTools-1.5.7rc1
Change it (by clicking the "Browse..." button) to something like:
C:\AutoDock\MGLTools-1.5.7rc1
Note that the newly created folder name does not contain any space in it.
To prevent any future unnecessary frustration, make sure your working folders' names do not contain any space in them.
