ECAP is a technique among all Sever Plastic Deformation techniques. I agree with SPD techniques bcoz its used for great grain refinement and improving the ductility but i need to know the direct applications of wrought magnesium and its alloys.
For example researchers have explained magnesium and its alloys have been used in aerospace (wheels and some parts made by casting) and automobiles(Engine body made by casting). But according to my literature survey no one has explained what are the direct applications prepared by SPD techniques. If not why did we go for SPD techniques? Can you please ans me if you dnt mind.
You could review papers of Ruslan Z. Valiev and collaborators, in some of these papers they are showed Ti dental implants processed by SPD using ECAP and some others structural components.
