Anybody familiar with creating initial conditions for the ENZO simulation code? I'm looking to run low resolution simulations to study high mass clusters; these would be without baryons. I'm mostly hung up on the comoving box size that I would need, and the resolution for such a box to produce realistic conditions.

besides the reference to the Enzo manual and to yt (a very useful starting point), the size of the box mainly depends on the mass of the objects that you want to form. In a box of 128 Mpc/h on a side you will have, at z=0, a handful of clusters with mass around 10^15Msun or just less. If you need some halo statistics, this will not be enough for you, but if you want to study the properties of single objects it should be OK (or you can go to 256 Mpc/h).

Thank you all for your prompt replies. I think I am beginning to understand my own question a little better now as well...
I am interested purely in the very largest cluster in a large (cosmological volume) simulation. This is to test the validity of the lambda-CDM cosmology in the presence of extreme mass clusters. My study would involve doing a large suite of simulations, each of very low resolution (since small clusters and the structure of clusters is unimportant for this study), then collating the results.
However, from your answers it appears that this would be impossible to do since if you reduce the resolution of the simulation it will simply not produce physically accurate results. It is therefore necessary to do high resolution simulations, with accurate clustering formation and evolution, and then search for the high mass clusters from these results.
