ENVI software (V 5.3) has a problem with opening some Metadata files. An error appears which means it does not seem to be a Metadata file. How can I solve this problem?
Which Satellite imagery you wanna open? Perhaps you can find the solution via the ENVI help guide, e.g.

It depends on satellite data you would like to open..You may kindly go through https://www.l3harrisgeospatial.com/docs/envirastermetadata.html, if efficient in coding. Else you can check/change the extension of you metadata file to an appropriet convention. Hope it will help
