Yes. I found out Jensen (1984), Besley (1999), Bruce (2005), Van Kester (2009) and Lykke Andersen (2009) formulas. The latter is presented in the EurOtop manual. I did not find more recent experimental tests and formulas for this type of structure.
Thank you Ricardo and George for your time. I am not looking for formulas, numerical models or artificial neural networks to calculate overtopping, but how to calculate overtopping discharge reduction as a distance behind the structure function.
I don't know if this can help, but I worked on overtopping some time ago and I remember Van der Meer published a lot of papers dealing with overtopping on coastal defence structures. Maybe you can find some more information on his site.
in the current state of art, I think that there not exists any formula for calculating overtopping as a function of the distance to the breakwater. Eurotop manual contains many formulas, as other colleges said above, but all of them consider the mean overtopping discharge or volume at the crown wall. Currently we are deepening in this topic, but the work is not complete yet. I hope to help you shortly.
