I have been submitting an article to Else viewer journal, but the
Else viewer (optics online journal) show a massage "Under Editor Evaluation". What is the meaning of this message? How many days it takes to gives the decision about the paper?
This status means that all required reviews are completed. Next status would be decision in process when editor submit his final decision on your paper in the system (such as Accept, Reject, Accept with revision, etc) and then editor in chief will send it to you.
The decision process may require some time since the editor need to read the reviewers comments to make a decision. So it may take 3 to 6 weeks.
If you just submitted the paper, it likely means the editor is deciding whether the article is appropriate for this journal and the research is of high enough quality to send it out for review or to desk reject the paper.
