I'm planning on doing some white blood cell counts on crocs and I am looking at getting some blood collection tubes with anticoagulants, but I'm not sure if I should get Heparin or EDTA?
I am doing eosinophile counts and looking for traces of prasites in the blood.
What would you guys choose?
(Also, if possible, my supervisor might want to use some blood for heavy metal analysis)

Make sure that EDTA, which can bind strongly to divalent ions, does not interfere with your heavy metal analysis.

Thanks guys,
I've gotten myself tubes containing EDTA, but I've also invested in tubes without additives in case of later heavy metal analysis.
