Hello, everybody! I am an MSc environmental sence student I choose my thesis theme on Earthquake Disaster Assessment Using GIS and Remote Sensing but I am so confused I don't know which of the best GIS&RS models I choose? My advisor is a risk assessment specialist.
Anybody can give me advice or thesis topics. Please give me advice as soon as possible.

Ali R. Al-Aizari My PhD Dissertation is about earthquake-induced public health risk assessment. You can do your thesis in the said domain with many different contexts. This is a really wide topic. Are you interested in hazard assessments or rather risks? Do you want to focus on specific issues such as critical infrastructure or the emergency response?
I guess the most straight-forward approach would be to discuss this with your supervisor; (s)he will be the one giving you a mark for your work.

Maybe will be interesting also , the study concerning relationsheep between mining ground deformation and induced seismic activity due to mining underground exploitation. The study included the results of continuous observation of vertical displacements of mining ground using GPS (GNSS) technique.

Remote sensing is a blanket term ranging from air photos through LIDAR and non visible sensors such as IR and SAR. I suggest you first get a good idea of what you will be looking for. Will you be comparing before and after images and locations to determine and predict damage which may involve looking at soil types, existing faults, or will you be mapping critical transport routes that will remain available after a major shock? Once you focus on your question, the computer technology and sensing methods will become apparent.

Yet, you have gotten a lot of good answers... Read them, try to understand them, and try to hear your inside soul... and write down ...
The example you have remote sensing and GIS.
The first answer to the question: what is good this method (write down with their history of developing, where they are used, then how they can be used in seismology... (What kind of another method can do them better?)
Example remote sensing is useful for the describing of the morphology of the studied are (from it can have images of its structure) Gis can give ideas on how it evolves... from it, you can get a good conclusion...
Select a seismologically active area (example East of China and write it down geologically, seismologically using remote sensing and (GIS)...
I think from the points given to you not only MsC can do, from it can be written a beautiful Ph.D. thesis.
