Hi Deepayan, did you try the centrifugation process during the water addition or the use of hot water?, maybe near 40 degrees...would help to the phase break...some times is necessary heat o centrifugation for that.

The separation depends on the ratio of quantity of water to the quantity of oil and also the time for which you are keeping it for settling. while washing the biodiesel preferably use warm water. Many times it is observed that phase separation not takes place in that case proper stirring and and prolonged settling time needs to be provided.
Dear Deepayan, You must used 40-50 C water and didnt mix the biodiesel and water and heat them until separation occur. Mix of them creates emulsion .Because the water have more density compare biodiesel it put in bottom.
