Since handling/transport of the alkaline solution to site very difficult and dangerous we would like to premix Fly ash with Sodium Hydroxide(lye), sodium silicate powder in one package in a standard formula and the worker need only to add water and additive to prepare the GP concrete.
Anyone have experience in this method, please kindly help to advise the optimum formulation (%Wt of Fly ash, SS, SH and additive) for curing at normal outdoor temperature.

Hi,
Normally for curing at ambient Tem you should use a bindery material like, slag with FA; you might use Slag+FA+K-silicate.
If you use the sodium silicate powder then it is impossible to prepare. Sodium silicate powder is usually liquefied in an autoclave under a high pressure. The idea is interesting, but difficult to realize. You may use other alkaline powders which turns to solution easily by water mixing or use a high calcium precursors to initiate a cement like reaction.

Hi, I think it's possible but all depends on fly ash reactivity. If you have high calcium fly ash or not, the risk is that you finally obtain an alkali activated concrete not a real geopolymer (water at room temperature can't liquify alkali salts in a good way) . By the way if you want to create a dry mix binder to preparo a geopolymer concrete you could have a look about Pyrament patent to have a guide. Isn't an easy work, but it is possible.
