Hi, I am new to OptiFDTD. To get familiar with OptiFDTD, at first I tried to draw a single mode fiber (smf) and solve the mode propagated inside the smf. Unfortunately, no mode found inside the smf. Is my smf dimension below can be accepted to be analyzed in optiFDTD? How can I solve the fundamental mode of the smf?
My smf dimension :
Diameter
Core : 9µm
Cladding : 125µm
Refractive Index
Core : 1.468
Cladding : 1.46
Length of smf
1000µm

, based on your attachment, I understand that the normalized frequency for a fiber must be less than 2.405 in order to become a single mode fiber.The dimensions of single mode fiber that I used are obtained from a datasheet, so it is a standard dimension for a smf.
So in my case, what parameter should I control to be able to find mode in the fiber? and how should I control that parameter?
