Research Gate asks me continuously to download full texts of my papers, but they are published in papers which enforce copy rights. So, is it something here that I do not understand? Does Research Gate has special privileges or exemptions from the copy-right law?
You are to obey only the copyright issues of the periodical or books where you have published. RG definitely asks to upload your papers but simultaneously reminds you that you should follow the copyright issues.
The answer is relatively simple. You must open particular article clicking on its title. At the most bottom (three last lines if not counting bottom menu) is information concerning self-archiving. It is finished with "Learn more" connection with SHERPA/RoMEO. Here you can find detailed information concerning rights, restrictions and so one.
Pawel, I know this. What bothers me is that basically none of the journals where I published allows for public downloading by RG keeps asking me to do it each and every time I open it. Kind of annoying. By the way, we sent you a book.
