Does TRAIL-treatment interfere with the viral delivery of shRNA?

There have been several papers on the role of TRAIL in the response to viral infection.

In an experimental setting, where shRNA is delivered through a viral vector into cells that are then treated with TRAIL to show the effect of the knockdown of gene X on TRAIL-treated cells, would the TRAIL treatment somehow interfere with the viral delivery or something similar?
