Changes in the environment of any organism would definitely have an impact on the corresponding ecosystem. The question is how big the change is and if that change is catastrophic to the food chain. More detail might help you get a clearer answer
In additions of the impact on their own ecosystem, salinity in ocean and seas (and some lake) have also impact on nearby ecosystem, especially when you have tsunami, high tides or sometimes even flood, the sea leave salt remain who can prevent agriculture and "normal" biosphere to take place...
Change in salinity inside sea own ecosystem can trigger ecosystem change, who will affect the surrounding ecosystems on the long term (when some specie won't find his preyanymore, etc)

Mehrnoosh Darya. My question was about the impact of salinity mostly on land ecosystems. I am studying the distribution of some taxa of insects whose geographical areas coincide with wet areas: lakes, ponds, seas ... what made me thinking of this hypothesis.
i agree with John Oyekan ,that More detail might help you get a clearer answer. but your answer is yes. Insects that live in seas and oceans surrounding environment are quite different from the insects that live in fresh water.
Effects of salinity changes on the seas and oceans, I must say, they usually have a lot of changes in salinity throughout the year. unless, you mean was estuaries.
