As Editor of the parasitic weeds newsletter 'Haustorium' I am interetsed whether the project in any way addresses the problem of Striga.

Sorry, i only now see your question. The project only addresses Striga through the development of striga resistant varieties. The IR technology was passed on to AATF, but it looks like it died there,
