Hello, I'm a rookie perovskite solar cell researcher. Recently, I cannot increase my efficiency anymore. Seems all factors of the device has been modified except the atmosphere of my glovebox. I'm strongly curious if the spin -coating & annealing atmosphere will affect my efficiency. This is because our glovebox was initially set with Ar and I never get a chance to use N2. We once have visiting researcher and they only got lower efficiencies than those in their lab. Considering over 99% groups all over the world use N2 and all world's records used N2, cost should not be the reason. Ar is at lease no better than N2.
(I use CsFAMAPbIBr + antisolvent processing recipe, SnO2 as ETL, and spiro as HTL in normal structure. The highest PCE I got was about 18~19% depends on HTL aging of air. My goal is over 20%.
I have two literature, one says N2 is better while another one says atmosphere does not matter. DOI: 10.1021/acsenergylett.6b00042, DOI: 10.1002/aenm.201803450.
Last but not least, Ar is 40% denser and 27% more viscous than N2. )
