Hi, I am simulating a wave tank where one side is a velocity inlet and other side is a pressure outlet. After turning on the DPM injections, I set both the inlet and outlet BC as "Reflect" in the DPM tab of each. I wanted to keep the limited injected particles inside the system, though the water flow is like an open channel.
Can someone tell me if the DPM "Reflect" function works on outlets or it's just for walls? Does DPM particles leave the system through outlets even though the BC of the outlets are set as "Reflect/Trap"? I have attached a simulation post-processed video of the particle movement inside the tank.

Whats was the software you used? Fluent?
The pressure condition able only out flow. Is the pressure gradient is agaist the flow, as a recirculation, or before a reattachment zone, the fluid will tends to entrain in to domain through the outlet and it not able, hence the solver, put in these places a virtual wall to avoid inflow. Your particles seem to recirculating as the out let was a wall. Try to extend your domain, or change the boundary to opening . I advise you to extend the domain, the recirculation zone is touching it.
