Which is better for scoring a research paper (journal or conference), or scoring the author: one author for one paper, or several authors in one paper (scoring by organizations/webpages that collect and compare authors work, for example: Researchgate, h-index, IF, SJR )?
The question should be more precise. Who should score authors: the journal where the article is published, organizations/webpages that collect and compare authors work (Researchgate for example) or Institutions where the author works?
Everlasting question. Citations in peer-review journals are slow but should have big impact (in numbers if mathematical equation will be the final goal). Official downloads from the journal webpage should also count. the review articles are less cited then original articles, but are read more commonly. One of the good starting points is Google Scholar but should also be polished. You can find a collection of authors citations there which includes books, chapters, conferences. But the number of authors and their position in the list should be mathematically included for more precise scientific influence and engagement in the science. This is only the part of the problem.
