5G concepts may revolutionary change many arenas of technology (networking everywhere, smart cities, distribution of computing.....), hence, Artificial Intelligence is expected to play important roles in 5G revolution, how that shall take place ?
Artifical Intteligence (AI) will play an important role in 5G-based Networks - especially in Network Slicing.
Network Slicing uses SDN (Software-Defined Networking) to set up various 5G Private Networks based on Virtual Network Function
(VNFs). Here, the AI-driven SDN will be of great importance.
Attached are some sources of literature on "AI use in 5G"
There are some good ideas in the ITU-T Standard Y.3650. However, they are not directly related to 5G.
Best regards

Please, the existence of the artificial intelligence had revolutionized and impacted many applications including 5G networks and many more applications in the future.
5G connectivity has more bandwidth and lower latency than current wireless networks, so it will transmit more data faster than current 4G technologies. For example, LTE tops out at 1 gigabit per second while 5G is built to deliver 10 gigabits of data per second.
The ability to access additional information quicker through 5G networks will help AI-enabled devices understand their environment and the context in which they operate. This will supercharge AI-powered services, making them more reliable in a broad range of situations.
Artificial intelligence (AI) represented by machine learning and deep learning has done a remarkable job in the industries of internet and security protection. ZTE believes that AI can also greatly help telecom carriers optimize their investment, reduce costs and improve O&M efficiency, involving precision 5G network planning, capacity expansion forecast, coverage auto-optimization, smart MIMO, dynamic cloud network resource scheduling, and 5G smart slicing.
