Not enough information provided. ELISA is a technique (just like HPLC) and not a sample type.
Not likely. This is what you will have to prove! HPLC will give you many peaks but only one or a few more will be active. HPLC is also a 'mass' technique while ELISA can quantitate enzyme activity which is a variable depending on environmental conditions.
Hi. If I'm understand it correctly, you want to analyse a species using HPLC in stead of ELISA test kit method, and you want to know is there a difference if you want to apply the standard provided in ELISA test kit into HPLC.
I would say NO. However, do take note the method they prepare their standard solution and check for compatibility of the solvent used with your HPLC column just in case.
Another thing might need to consider is their purity. ELISA test kit standard didn't have COA ( I don't receive and can't find any) whereas standard for HPLC (buy from Merck, Fisher ...) can download their COA and they provide purity of their standard.
So ELISA kit standard may have some deviation from target concentration which we don't know, and it may contain other impurities. HPLC grade standard usually has >95% purity, so you can get a very nice chromatogram using HPLC grade standard.
Otherwise, both of them shouldn't have much differences.
