I am looking for an automatic semantic annotation tool that be able to recognize mentions to instances of concepts or concepts within WordNet, it means an automatic semantic annotator which uses WordNet as base ontology.

Thank you so much Alexander, maybe I must clarify a bit more my question.
When I refer to an automatic annotation tool based on WordNet, I mean a tool that takes as input a text block and reports as output the set of mentions to concepts or instances of concepts defined in WordNet that appear in the text.
My question is still open.

I understand, You can probably use NLTK implemented using Python to do what you wish (www.nltk.org) -- NLTK maintains many corpora and also Wordnet,
You might have a look at the FREME project. They provide NER on an (RDF) dataset of your choice. If WordNet is not already added, you can contact the consortium behind the project to see if they can add it. I've already done the same with the Europeana dataset. I hope this helps.
