Found in Coastal Waters
New Picture
I also suspect it is a sea slug, but it is hard to identify to species just based on this photo.
Where was it found? I suggest to ask Natalie Yonow at Swansea University if she has seen something like this.
if you found it in Hormozgan coastal waters, it is not sea slug.
I think it is a kind of ray.
but it covered with a black substrate. could you specify geographical information?
I also believe it is not a slug. It seems to have a sort of tail and its symmetry suggest a sort of Ray.
Dear Ines
I agree with you
Maybe a Nudibranch? More photos are needed
Sea hares, aplysia?
To me it looks a marine snail of genus Aplysia but I could not say which species.
Good luck
Thank you for all the answers,
Persian Gulf; This is a new video for unknown species, I hope that useful for better identification of this species.
Best Wishes
With your video, it really looks like a mollusc and I would guess Chelidonura livida wich is a big sea slug
Yes the sliding moviments are typical of slug. And for the blue pointed colors I agree with Mario Chelinodura livida
Must be resembling sea snail Aplysia
I think this animal could be Aplisia,
