I suddenly come across this question whilst listening to pop music on my Watch (maybe quite silly). Do you think pop music changes our perceptions toward education?
Donna Fargo (nee Yvonne Vaughn), an English teacher before she became a country-music star, spoke a sign held by one of her former students when the two reunited after the instructor became famous: "Donna Fargo learned us English." Humorously cringeworthy, if there is such a thing, but innumerable songs and song titles- Fats Domino's "Ain't That A Shame" comes to mind- in an equal number of musical genres have been populated by lyricists who have all but destroyed "the King's English."
