Pakistan's defense minister stated that its nuclear capabilities could be made available to Saudi Arabia under a new defense pact, raising regional security concerns.
In my opinion, yes. In my opinion, it has already happened. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are long-standing close allies. According to some theories, Saudi Arabia financed Pakistan's secret nuclear program and is entitled to a nuclear umbrella in case of a crisis.
Mr. Ladislav Kulhanek comment is absolutely biased. Pakistan is responsible state, many countries signed defense agreements in the past, like CETO, CENTO, NATO and WARSA pact. No one commented irrationally on it like you made comment. Pakistan Nuclear programm was not secret. So far I know as citizen of Pakistan, we as national are peace living and we as a national wanted south east Asia as nuclear free zone. You recollect your memory, it was India who opposed it. Regarding financing who financed USA, UK, France, Israil South Africa and India.
Pakistan's Project-706 was secrecy, Project India was secrecy too. This is a different issue, I don't criticize Pakistan's signed defense agreement or claim to nuclear program.
Abdul Saeed Shah Hello Brother- thanks for your response to my question. LadislaV, HOWEVER, does not seem to be biased but a believer in rumors. He has his own critical perspective, which we should respect.
It is widely believed that Saudi Arabia has been a major financier of Pakistan's own integrated atomic bomb project since 1974, a program founded by former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Ladislva Kulhanek, regarding your contension about financing Pakistan's nuclear programme by SAudi Arabia, I just want to remind you comments one of prime minister, Zulfaqar Ali Buhtoo, "We will eat grass but will develop our nuclear programme" and we as nation faced many hardships economically.
