Looking at the recent trajectory and resurgence of coups in Africa as well as the massive emigration of Africans due to poor standard of living, Nigeria being the most populous is not exempted from these sad tales. It raises the possibility of young military officers who might be dissatisfied with current realities to also take the initiative to follow the path set by their khaki brothers in other neighbouring countries. This seems unlikely as Nigeria has enjoyed uninterrupted democracy since 1999 - about 24 years now. Nevertheless, it could be argued that democracy has not so much favoured Nigerians. Hence, if there's a slightest possibility of military hostile takeover of government, it is worth looking into. Who when, how, why might be worth considering.
