Can mind wandering help solving problems?
Can it be compared to the diffuse mode?
Definitely yes
Best Regards Holly B. F. Warren
When our mind wanders we are mostly unaware but when this moment ends we might get a flash of light shed on a problem we are working on or might realize we are starting to make connections that were absent.
Could this be linked to a form of brainstorming?
Good point. Brainstorming can be a mind wandering activity where ideas come together. A trampoline for a digger dip.
We take a line for a walk ( Klee,1929) and our mind follows.
What, in your opinion are the salient characteristics of a head in a school for guiding and coordinating staff? How can you inspire, lead and organise staff of different ages and backgrounds?
