I am fabricating a microfuidic channel in PDMS. I would like the channel to bond/stick with the ITO coated Quartz substrate that I have. Does PDMS stick to ITO coated Quartz substrate?
If you want your PDMS to stick on the ITO simply activate the surface of the PDMS and the ITO with UV-ozone treatment for 10-15 min. The adhesion is pretty strong.

Hi Abdul, I will go with Dilek on this one. Treating with short chain amino silane (from a dilute solution in ethanol or methanol) to create a monolayer is also an option. Upon coating with thin silanes, the change in electrical properties and resistivity is negligible. Best, Palash.
we are also currently working on bonding PDMS to ITO coated glass slides. We have already developed a PDMS-PDMS or PDMS-glass bonding in a o2-plasma cleaner. However, using the same parameters (30W at 30-60s) when dealing with ITO and PDMS does not deliver a bond.
Does anyone have a recipe for bonding PDMS to ITO coated surfaces using a plasma cleaner. Unfortunatly, we dont have a Ozone chamber.
I also suggest using silanes. Very thin layers can be achieved using straightforward vapour phase deposition, e.g. after plasma activation. You find the procedure within our publications.
