I have been trying to understand this. A few works I came across seemed to have contradictory results. If the Id/ Ig does increase, when GO goes to rGO, does it mean that the removal of Oxygen based functionalities has created or rather, given rise to defects? And if the ratio decreases, then, what could be the reason?

its should be increase because the defection increased by the reduction process either by thermal or chemical reduction process
