Dear friends,

For the removal of carbon monoxide, generally catalysts such as Pd, Pt etc. supported on various supports such as activated carbon are used. Why carbon monoxide is not getting adsorbed on bare activated carbon,i.e., activated carbon without any modification? I have done the CO removal studies with Pd supported carbon catalysts and bare activated carbon under same experimental condition. The former was removing CO while the later not., means CO is not getting adsorbed on activated carbon surface. What could be the reason?
