Novel compounds like fasoracetam have been proven to cause an upregulation in GABA-B receptors. While is it primarily used for cognitive enhancement in both healthy subjects and patients, does this compound have the potential to act as a novel analgesic (particularly in subjects using GABA positive allosteric modulators)?
