I recently did an essay on this and I found that when my falshbulb memory occurs during lectures and seminars depending on the emotionally arousal I experience with a specific context of the event determine how much knowledge I have retained. However, I also found that during seminars of interesting topics relative to my flashbulb memory when it's positive emotionally charged despite the context of the flashbulb memory is negative, I would be more confident and involved in the discussion and I have greater understanding of the topic.
