I will be using this ionic liquid as an electrolyte for my battery experiments.
If the aqueous solution of choline hydroxide (46 wt%) is left in open atmosphere, it shall slowly lose water if the water vapour pressure in the atmosphere is lower than the water vapor pressure of the solution; while it shall slowly absorb water for the opposite case. In close athmosphere, equilibrium could be attained, for which the water vapour pressure of the solution equals vapour pressure in the closed atmosphere. The water vapour pressure of the solution depends on temperature and composition. Note that the solution may possibly absorb also CO2 from open atmosphere. The total vapour pressure for a 45 wt% aqueous solution was said to be 28.284 hPa at 25°C (*), or 17.5 mmHg at 20 ºC (**).
