Hello dear community!
I am trying to understand the management of the thermal environment in Arcam EBM (we are using an A2x).
I understand that there are the Speed Function, Turning Point Function etc. that adjust the energy input as a function of scan path length and overhangs. Furthermore, there is Preheat I and Preheat II as well as the Post Heating to ensure sufficient sintering and a homogeneous build temperature.
But do these also consider changing melting areas? I.e., if a different amount of parts is built and/or the cross section changes over height, will the heating step be adjusted to allow for a thermally constant environment?
I couldn't really find some useful answers to this, so I'm happy for any answer of you people!
Best,
Chris
