Hello. If it is fragile it does not mean that its tensile is less than plastic. It is fragile because once a crack develops under a fracture load it will propagate very fast and it will shatter, where in plastic the hazing will prevent crack propagation until the hazed zone becomes very brittle then you will have faster propagation of the crack.
I think by "glass tensile is greater" you mean that the tensile strength is higher for glass, in spite of its brittleness.
Tensile strength is a separate characteristic of a material with no connection to its brittleness.
However if you want to compare these materials (glass and plastic) you can use another more complex parameter - the energy that should be applied for material breakage.
