Will DMPC+POPG form liposome? They have different chain length and different saturation. It seems no one uses such combination. Is it reasonable to use such a combination for membrane protein reconstitution?
it is possible that you get phase separation in the membrane which may destabilize
the liposome.
What about adding some trahelose to protect the liposome?
