As far as I know, glass, transparent plastic or plexiglass are the most recommended materials, but I am not sure which one is the most efficient in terms of water evaporation and potability.
I would appreciate it if somebody could explain how process variables, such as the heat-exchange, are correlated.

I think thermoplastic polymers are quite good for such purpose. also, transparent glass may be used. Regards
Many studies have been conducted in order to enhance the performance of the solar still for seawater desalination. All previous works concluded that the productivity of the solar still affected by various factors, for example, the material used for Still's roof, the water depth, the wind speed, ..etc.
