There is a pen and pencil version of the Wisconsin Card Sorting Task, which tap into set-shifting processes.

Perhaps these two may be relevant: Trail making test or Brixton Spatial Anticipation test. Good luck. 

Try the Inhibition test from the NEPSY-2.  I find it very helpful.

For computerized tasks which require no coding or work on your part you could use the CANTAB cognitive computerized assessments.

They have a task switching task called AST (attention switching task) which uses visual stimuli, as well as a Stop Signal Task (uses an auditory stop signal however - not visual) called SST.

The tasks are run on an iPad.

The CANTAB Intra Extra Dimensional set shift is a good measure of attentional set-shifting, and has been used in about 600 publications. It was developed by Prof Trevor Robbins at Uni of Cambridge, and there is also a preclinical version which means there is a good basic neuroscience background for the task:

VSAT (visual search and attention test), Trails B, DKEFS color-word test, Stroop, Cancelation on the WAIS-IV, DKEFS Trails 2-4 can be controls as well (no color task but set shifting)

There are also the Frontal Assessment Battery (FAB) and the Multiple Feature Target Cancellation (MFTC).

more seriously: for shifting you could use the wisconsin card sorting test.

for inhibition you might use the london or hanoi tower (although this is more controversial).

see Miyake et al, 2000 for a rationale concerning both of these.

alternatively (if vocal responses are acceptable for you) you could use some old-fashioned, non-computerized version of the Stroop (1935) task.
